The Albany State Golden Rams men’s basketball team will begin their season by participating in the SIAC and Gulf South Conference Basketball Challenge on November 11-13, in Livingston, Alabama. The SIAC will be represented by Albany State University and Central State University. The Gulf South Conference will be represented by Mississippi College and the University of West Alabama.
The Albany State University Golden Rams will welcome six new members to the roster during the 2022-2023 men’s basketball season. The recruiting class features signees from the high school level, prep school, community colleges and 2 division I transfers. “We are excited with the 2022 men’s basketball recruiting class that is coming to Albany State University. We look forward to the challenge of competing in the SIAC,” said Head Coach Patrick Gayle.
The Golden Rams were picked to finish 4th the SIAC East Division. The Golden Rams seniors Malik Parker and Jordan Simpson were selected to the 2022 SIAC Preseason All-Conference Team.
The Golden Rams will play Mississippi College at 7:00 pm on Friday, November 11. The Golden Rams will play the University of West Alabama at 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 13. Please note that all games will be played according to the Central Time Zone!
